<p>Dem kirchlichen Aufführungsverbot von Opern in der Fastenzeit haben wir es zu verdanken, dass uns wenigstens ein Oratorium Ludwig van Beethovens erhalten geblieben ist: &#8220;Christus am Ölberge&#8221;, welches Beethoven (Libretto: Franz Xaver Huber) anlässlich seiner Ernennung zum Hauskomponisten des Theaters an der Wien im April 1803 zusammen mit seiner zweiten Symphonie dirigierte. Eben diese beiden Werke standen am Eröffnungstag des diesjährigen Wiener Osterklangs am 31. März 2012 erneut am Programm. Solisten waren <a title="Johan Botha" href="http://www.amazon.de/mn/search/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;site-redirect=de&amp;x=0&amp;tag=elmarswunderb-21&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;y=0&amp;camp=1638&amp;creative=19454&amp;field-keywords=Johan%20Botha&amp;url=search-alias%3Daps" target="_blank">Johan Botha</a> als Christus, Gerald Finley als Petrus und Camilla Nylund als Seraph. <a title="Philippe Jordan" href="http://www.amazon.de/mn/search/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;site-redirect=de&amp;x=0&amp;tag=elmarswunderb-21&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;y=0&amp;camp=1638&amp;creative=19454&amp;field-keywords=Philippe%20Jordan&amp;url=search-alias%3Dpopular" target="_blank">Philippe Jordan</a> dirigierte den <a title="Arnold Schoenberg Chor" href="http://www.amazon.de/mn/search/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;site-redirect=de&amp;x=0&amp;tag=elmarswunderb-21&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;y=0&amp;camp=1638&amp;creative=19454&amp;field-keywords=Arnold%20Schoenberg%20Chor&amp;url=search-alias%3Daps" target="_blank">Arnold Schoenberg Chor</a> und die <a title="Wiener Philharmoniker" href="http://www.amazon.de/gp/entity/Wiener-Philharmoniker/B000APIT3K/?ie=UTF8&amp;site-redirect=de&amp;tag=elmarswunderb-21&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;qid=1333333659&amp;camp=1638&amp;sr=8-2-ent&amp;creative=19454" target="_blank">Wiener Philharmoniker</a>.</p>
<p>Auch wenn Beethoven höchstpersönlich seine zweite Symphonie in  Kombination mit seinem einzigen Oratorium aufführte, halte ich diese  für seine schwächste Symphonie und hätte ich mich über die Kombination  &#8220;Christus am Ölberge&#8221; und seiner dritten, der Heldensymphonie -welche  meines Erachtens gerade aufgrund ihrer Dramatik noch besser dazu passen  würde- mehr gefreut.<span id="more-12401"></span></p>

<p>Es gibt Dirigenten mit Charisma und es gibt welche ohne dieses. Der erst 37-jährige Philippe Jordan, <a title="Philippe Jordan wird neuer Chefdirigent der Wiener Symphoniker" href="http://www.redakteur.cc/philippe-jordan-wird-neuer-chefdirigent-der-wiener-symphoniker/" target="_blank">der designierte neue Chefdirigent der Wiener Symphoniker</a>, ist zweifelsohne einer der begnadedsten Dirigenten der jüngeren Generation. Dies hat er bei diesem Passions-Konzert im Theater an der Wien auch dadurch bewiesen, dass die Philharmoniker großteils auf ihn sahen und hörten, wenn auch möglicherweise eine Probe mehr sicherlich nicht geschadet hätte, um noch intensiver auszudrücken, was der Dirigent bei Beethovens Musik vollkommen zu Recht zuinnerst fühlte. Musik muss man spüren und dies ist im guten Sinne ansteckend.</p>
<p>Johan Botha schätze und verehre ich seit Jahren außerordentlich, er ist für mich DER Heldentenor der Gegenwart, habe ich ihn doch über Jahre hindurch in verschiedensten Rollen exzellent erlebt: erstmals als Rodolfo (&#8220;La Boheme&#8221;)  in der Wiener Volksoper, als &#8220;Lohengrin&#8221; in Paris unter Daniel Barenboim, als Florestan (&#8220;Fidelio&#8221;) in der Wiener Staatsoper. Umso mehr war ich gespannt, ob er &#8220;Jesus&#8221; gewachsen ist. Und ja: Johan Botha interpretiert auch die sehr anspruchsvolle Rolle des Jesus in &#8220;Christus am Ölberge&#8221; großartig: zu Beginn zwar etwas zaghaft, aber dann doch mit großer, dem Stück entsprechender Passion.</p>

<p>Doch auch die anderen beiden Solisten, Gerald Finley und Camilla Nylund wurden ihrer Rolle (Petrus und Seraph) durchaus gerecht. Und es ist mir immer wieder eine Freude, den Arnold Schoenberg Chor (Leitung: Erwin Ortner) live zu erleben, so auch bei diesem Konzert: Das ein stimmliche Harmonie, die passt einfach. Alles in allem bin ich -trotz fehlenden Gänsehaut-Faktors- sehr begeistert von diesem Eröffnungskonzert des Osterklang 2012.</p>

April die &#8220;Johannes-Passion&#8221; vonJohann Sebastian Bach, am 4. April &#8220;La Cena del Signore&#8221; von Johann Joseph Fux, am 5. April &#8220;Les Reves et des Pleurs&#8221; (Musik aus der Barockzeit), am 6. April die &#8220;Matthäus-Passion&#8221; von Johann Sebastian Bach, am 7. April &#8220;Lux Aeterna&#8221; von Györgi Ligeti und am 8. April &#8220;Frühling in Wien&#8221;. <p>The Black Keys gewannen zwei Grammys, einmal für das beste Alternativ-Album des Jahres: &#8220;Brothers&#8221; und zudem für die beste Rock-Gruppen-Performance: &#8220;Tighten Up&#8221;. &#8220;Album des Jahres&#8221; ist &#8220;The Suburbs&#8221; von Arcade Fire, das beste tradionelle Pop-Album ist &#8220;Crazy Love&#8221; von Michael Buble, Rihanna wurde für das beste Tanz-Album ausgezeichnet und La Roux wurde Dance Floor-Siegerin.
