Drei Golden Globes gingen letzte Nacht an Tom Hoopers “Les Miserables” (Bester Film: Musical, bester Hauptdarsteller Musical: Hugh Jackman und  Beste Nebendarstellerin: Anne Hathaway). Ben Afflecks Film “Argo” wurde als Bester Film-Drama und für die Beste Regie ausgezeichnet. Quentin Tarantinos “Django Unchained” erhielt zwei Golden Globes: Bestes Drehbuch: (Tarantino) und Bester Nebendarsteller: (Christoph Waltz). Der Auslands-Golden Globe ging an den Österreicher Michael Haneke für “Amour”.

Steven Spielbergs Film “Lincoln” erhielt nur einen Golden Globe: Bester Hauptdarsteller -Drama: Daniel Day-Lewis und Ang Lees “Life of Pi” ging vollkommen leer aus. Mit dem Cecil B. DeMille Award wurde Jodie Foster geehrt. Die 70. Verleihung der Golden Globes wurde -wie gewohnt von der Amerikanischen Vereinigung der Auslandspresse Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) vergeben und fand in Beverly Hills in Kalifornien statt.

Gleich vier, darunter die wichtigsten Golden Globes, kassierte der kritische “Facebook”-Film “The Social Network” von Kunst-Regisseur David Fincher: Bester Film, Beste Regie, Bestes Drehbuch (Aaron Sorkin) und Bester Original Score (von Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). Natalie Portman wurde als beste Hauptdarstellerin in “Black Swan” mit dem Golden Globe belohnt, bester Hauptdarsteller wurde Colin Firth (The King’s Speech).

Den Preis für das Lebenswerk erhielt Robert de Niro. Als beste TV-Serie wurde “Boardwalk Empire” (und dessen Hauptdarsteller Steve Buscemi) ausgezeichnet. Die Golden Globes werden alljährlich vom Verein der Auslandspresse in Hollywood (HFPA) an Kino- und TV-Stars vergeben und sind traditionell ein Gradmesser für die Oscar-Verleihungen.

Heute Nacht wurden in Los Angeles die Golden Globes vergeben. Als bester Regisseuer wurde James Cameron für “Avatar“, als bester Darsteller – Drama Jeff Bridges in „Crazy Heart“, als bester Darsteller – Musical/Komödie Robert Downey Jr. in “Sherlock Holmes”, als beste Hauptdarstellerin-Drama Sandra Bullock (“The Blind Side”), Meryl Streep als beste Hauptdarstellerin – Komödie “Julia & Julia”, als beste Komödie/Musical “The Hangover”, als bester Animationsfilm wurde “Up” von Disney, ausgezeichnet; dieser erhielt den Golden Globe auch für die beste Filmmusik (Michael Giacchino).

Die beiden Österreicher Christoph Waltz (ich hatte im Dezember hier über ihn berichtet) und Michael Haneke erhielten ebenfalls die begehrten Trophäen. Waltz erhielt den Preis als bester Nebendarsteller (in Quentin Tarantinos “Inglourious Basterds”), Haneckes Film “Das weisse Band” erhielt den Preis als bester nicht englischsprachiger Film. Martin Scorzese erhielt den Cecil B. Demille-Award für sein Lebenswerk.

Im Bereich TV wurden Golden Globes u.a. an Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Toni Colette (United States of Tara), Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), John Lithgow (Dexter), Kevin Bacon (Taking Chance), Drew Barrymoore (Gray Gardens) sowie an die Serien “Mad Men”, “Glee” und “Gray Gardens” vergeben.
