Gleich vier, darunter die wichtigsten Golden Globes, kassierte der kritische “Facebook”-Film “The Social Network” von Kunst-Regisseur David Fincher: Bester Film, Beste Regie, Bestes Drehbuch (Aaron Sorkin) und Bester Original Score (von Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). Natalie Portman wurde als beste Hauptdarstellerin in “Black Swan” mit dem Golden Globe belohnt, bester Hauptdarsteller wurde Colin Firth (The King’s Speech).

Den Preis für das Lebenswerk erhielt Robert de Niro. Als beste TV-Serie wurde “Boardwalk Empire” (und dessen Hauptdarsteller Steve Buscemi) ausgezeichnet. Die Golden Globes werden alljährlich vom Verein der Auslandspresse in Hollywood (HFPA) an Kino- und TV-Stars vergeben und sind traditionell ein Gradmesser für die Oscar-Verleihungen.

Biennale 2010: Der Goldene Löwe Venedigs

Am Samstag abend gingen die diesjährigen Filmfestspiele in Venedig mit den Prämierungen zu Ende. Den Goldenen Löwe als bester Film erhielt -wie es hieß einstimmig- “Somewhere” von Sofia Coppola. Weitere Preise gingen unter anderem an Monte Hellmann für seine gesamte Regiearbeit, an Jerzy Skolimowski für “The Essential Killing”, an Alex de la Iglesia (beste Regie und bestes Drehbuch) für “A Sad Trumpet” und an John Woo für sein Lebenswerk. “Black Swan” von Darren Aronofsky erhielt keinen Hauptpreis, “Drei”, der neue Film von Tom Tykwer (“Das Parfüm”), ging leer aus. Die grosse Jury Venezia 67 bestand in diesem Jahr aus Quentin Tarantino (Vorsitz), Gulliermo Arriaga, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Arnaud Desplechin, Danny Elfman, Luca Guadagnino und Gabriele Salvatores und hatte über 24 Filme zu entscheiden.
